Argentina has diverse climates depending on region, but most populated areas experience a temperate climate with four distinct seasons. Summer (December–February) is warm with temperatures reaching 25–30°C, while winter (June–August) is mild to cool at 8–15°C. Northern regions are subtropical and humid, while southern Patagonia is cooler and windier year-round.

Tipping is appreciated and generally expected for good service.
Cash is widely used. Card acceptance is growing but not universal — carry both.
Buenos Aires and major cities are generally safe for students, but avoid displaying valuables, use registered taxis or ride-sharing apps at night, and stay aware of your surroundings in less touristy neighborhoods. Keep copies of important documents separate from originals and register with your embassy before arrival. Petty theft and pickpocketing occur in crowded areas, so remain vigilant on public transport.
