About American Business School Paris J-Term Program
Spend your winter break immersed in focused business study at American Business College Paris, located in the vibrant 10th arrondissement near Canal Saint Martin. This month-long J-term program is designed for students who want to accelerate their academic progress or explore studying abroad without committing to a full semester. You'll take one intensive business course taught entirely in English by international faculty with real-world industry experience, earning 3 U.S. semester credits that transfer back to your home institution.
Your classroom extends beyond the lecture hall—Paris itself becomes part of your educational experience. You'll study alongside a diverse cohort of local and international students from over 80 nationalities, gaining perspective through intercultural collaboration and American-style teaching methods that emphasize participation, group work, and real-world case studies. Choose from courses in international finance, managerial accounting, and operations management, or explore unique offerings in luxury brand marketing and retail management that leverage Paris's position as a global commerce and fashion hub.
Beyond academics, you'll experience Paris through thoughtfully curated cultural activities included in your program fee. Attend an opera performance at one of the city's iconic opera houses, explore world-class museums like the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay, take a hands-on French cooking class with a local chef, or visit Paris's fashion district. An in-depth orientation upon arrival helps you navigate the city, academic culture, and your new home, while an experienced on-site team provides support throughout your stay—from academic questions to local recommendations to 24/7 emergency assistance.
Housing options include fully-furnished off-campus apartments (utilities and internet included), homestays with host families (breakfast and select dinners provided), or independent housing of your choice. All housing assignments are first-come, first-served, so you'll complete a questionnaire to help match your preferences. Your program fee of $4,950 covers tuition, your official transcript, housing and internet, cultural activities, in-country orientation, international accident and sickness insurance, local team support, and 24/7 emergency assistance. You'll be responsible for flights, meals, books, personal spending, travel insurance, and your international cell phone plan.
To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old at the time of participation and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. This program is ideal if you want to earn credits while abroad, experience Parisian culture and cuisine, build your professional network internationally, and return home with both academic credentials and unforgettable memories. The application deadline is October 1, 2026, for the January 2027 term, giving you time to plan your winter abroad.
