About London, England – USAC Study Abroad Program
Studying abroad in London with USAC gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in one of the world's largest, most diverse, and most historically rich cities. Whether you choose a summer session, a semester, or a full academic year, London offers an unmatched combination of academic excellence, cultural depth, and global connectivity. The program partners with two outstanding host universities — London Metropolitan University and the University of Roehampton — each offering a distinct campus experience tailored to different interests and schedules.
At London Metropolitan University, you'll find urban campuses in Islington and Aldgate, both centrally located with easy access to everything London has to offer. Each semester, you'll select four courses from a broad range of disciplines including business, marketing, communications, economics, English, history, social sciences, and psychology. An internship option is also available for students seeking hands-on professional experience in one of the world's leading business hubs. Specialized London studies courses often incorporate visits to art galleries, museums, historic sites, and theatre performances, turning the city itself into your classroom.
The University of Roehampton offers a beautiful parkland campus in southwest London, ideal for short-term summer and January participants seeking immersive, intensive coursework in a more scenic setting. You can join a single three-week session in June or July, combine both summer sessions for additional credit, or attend the January term — all while benefiting from Roehampton's close-knit academic community.
Beyond the classroom, London rewards exploration at every turn. With more than 30 unique neighborhoods, nearly 200 museums (many free to enter), expansive royal parks, West End performances, vibrant markets, and iconic landmarks like Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, and Westminster Abbey, you'll never run out of things to discover. London's role as a global center of business, film, arts, and music means cultural and professional opportunities surround you daily.
This program is open to sophomores and above with a minimum GPA of 2.7 (London Met) or 2.8 (Roehampton). Scholarships and financial aid are available, and USAC provides comprehensive support including passport and visa guidance. Whether you're drawn by London's storied history, its thriving arts scene, or its status as a modern global capital, this program delivers an unforgettable study abroad experience.
