About Spain Study Tour – Hola SPAIN Educational Study Tour Program
Experience a transformative 18-day cultural immersion across three iconic Spanish cities—Madrid, Salamanca, and Seville—designed specifically for high school students aged 15–18. This study tour offers far more than sightseeing; you'll live with carefully vetted local host families, attend authentic Spanish language schools, and engage directly with Spanish teenagers your own age, creating a full cultural and linguistic immersion that goes beyond the classroom.
Your journey begins in Madrid, Spain's elegant capital, where you'll explore the portico-lined Plaza Mayor, the grand Royal Palace, and world-class museums like the Prado, home to masterworks by Goya and Velázquez. After an overnight in Madrid, you'll travel to Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage city in northwestern Spain known for its stunning sandstone architecture and the historic Universidad de Salamanca, founded in the 1100s. Here you'll spend eight days living with your host family while attending 20 Spanish language classes per week at a local language school. Your mornings (9:30 am–1:30 pm) are dedicated to structured language instruction, afternoons to cultural excursions and activities like treasure hunts, salsa masterclasses, and culinary classes, and evenings to real family life—meals, conversation, and the rhythms of a Spanish household.
In Seville, the vibrant capital of Andalusia in southern Spain, you'll experience the passion of flamenco culture, explore the enchanting Barrio de Santa Cruz, and discover landmarks like the Alcázar castle and the Gothic Seville Cathedral. You'll attend another week of Spanish language school (20 classes), participate in Sevillanas dance lessons and Spanish cultural workshops, and take a full-day excursion to the coastal towns of Jerez de la Frontera and Cádiz. Throughout the program, you'll be supported by local guides, coordinators, and Campus Education staff who ensure your safety and help you navigate any challenges.
This program is ideal if you're studying Spanish at school or privately and want to deepen your fluency, broaden your understanding of Spanish culture, and return home with genuine passion for the language. Many students report that this immersion experience transforms their classroom performance and exam results because the learning moves "from your head to your heart." You'll make lifelong friendships with Spanish peers, expand your global social network, and gain confidence speaking Spanish in real-world contexts. The program includes flights from Australia, comprehensive travel and medical insurance, all accommodation (both host family and hotel nights), Spanish language school tuition, meals (breakfast and dinner daily), local transport, and guided excursions. You'll need to budget approximately AUD $250–300 per week for incidentals, lunches, and personal expenses, and you should carry a debit or credit card for emergencies. No visa is required for stays under 90 days for Australian citizens.
