About USA High School Study Abroad Program Program
Campus Education's USA High School Study Abroad Program offers you the chance to experience authentic American secondary education while living with a host family. You can choose from three flexible duration options: a 6-week White Christmas program that fits around your school holidays, a 5-month semester, or a full 10-month academic year. This program is designed for students aged 15–18 who want to immerse themselves in the American education system and develop their English language skills in a real classroom setting.
The USA is a vast country with diverse cultures, climates, and educational opportunities. You'll attend a local quality high school alongside American students, experiencing the full breadth of the American secondary education system, which spans 12 grades (primary through secondary school). The school calendar typically runs from August or September through May or June, with most international students beginning in autumn to align with the typical American academic calendar.
One of the major benefits of studying high school in the USA is the intensive English language immersion you'll experience. Rather than learning English in a traditional classroom, you'll develop your fluency by speaking with American peers, teachers, and your host family daily. Over time, the friendships you build and constant exposure to native speakers will significantly accelerate your English proficiency—a skill that becomes increasingly valuable if your goal is to eventually attend college in America.
Your host family plays a central role in your experience. They will invite you to participate in family activities and expect you to contribute household responsibilities, treating you as a genuine family member. Your host family will be eager to learn about your country and culture while helping you understand life in America, answering your questions, and providing guidance as you navigate this new environment.
Campus Education supports your journey with comprehensive program inclusions, a structured registration and payment process, insurance options, and scholarship opportunities. Whether you're seeking a brief cultural immersion during your school break or a transformative year-long experience, this program equips you with the credentials, language skills, and cross-cultural understanding needed to succeed in American higher education and beyond.
