Oman has a hot desert climate with extremely hot summers (May–September, 40–50°C) and mild winters (December–February, 20–30°C). The coastal areas experience slightly cooler temperatures and higher humidity, while the interior is drier. The brief monsoon season (June–September) affects the southern Dhofar region with occasional rainfall.
