About Full Time Internship Milan Program
Spend your spring semester interning in Milan, Italy—a global hub for fashion, design, business, and innovation. This 12-week internship program (February 7 – May 2, 2027) combines guaranteed professional placement with immersive cultural experiences, making it an ideal way to build your resume while living abroad. Before your internship begins, you'll enroll in a language course to prepare you for working and living in Italy, ensuring you arrive ready to engage with your workplace and community.
Milan is known as the Fashion Capital of the World, but internship opportunities span nearly every career field: accounting, advertising, marketing, PR, architecture, fashion design, graphic design, hospitality, web design, video production, and more. AIFS Abroad's experienced placement team works with you one-on-one to understand your skills, career goals, and professional expectations, then matches you with a top-tier international company where you'll gain valuable real-world experience. Upon arrival, on-site Location Coordinators provide ongoing support and coaching to help you thrive in your role.
The inclusive program fee of $10,490 covers your guaranteed internship placement, housing in a shared apartment close to public transportation (with internet included), a 3-credit International Internship course through Fairfield University, and access to AIFS Abroad's award-winning Global Career Readiness Program. This program features the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment, one-on-one career coaching, goal setting, interview prep, and networking events—all designed to connect your academic knowledge with professional growth. You'll also enjoy cultural activities and social events hosted by local staff, plus included day trips to Lake Como and Verona, giving you an authentic and insightful view of Italian life beyond the typical tourist experience.
Housing, airport transfers, health and safety support (24/7 emergency assistance and comprehensive insurance), and carbon offsetting for your flights are all included. Optional add-ons include round-trip flights from 25 U.S. gateways (ranging from $1,580–$1,920 depending on departure city) and additional academic courses for credit. The program is open to first-year, sophomore, junior, and senior undergraduates currently enrolled in university or graduating within six months. Application deadline is November 1, 2026, with rolling admissions—you can expect acceptance confirmation within 2 business days of completing your application.
