Immerse yourself in one of the world's great cities by spending a spring semester studying at the University of Westminster in London, England. This program places you in the heart of Central London, where you'll take up to 16 semester credits across a wide variety of courses in business, arts, sciences, media, design, and computer science—all taught in English alongside local and international students. The University of Westminster, established over 180 years ago, comprises three colleges across four London campuses and enrolls over 20,000 students from more than 169 nationalities, providing a supportive and diverse academic community with a strong commitment to wellbeing and inclusion.
Your coursework will be practical, relevant, and contemporary, designed to prepare you for the world of work. You can build a customized program that suits your academic goals, selecting from areas including Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, Business, Media Arts & Design, Life Sciences, Architecture & Cities, or Computer Science. If you're majoring in Fashion, limited spots are available for theory modules from the Fashion Business Management degree program. Throughout your time in London, you'll have access to state-of-the-art facilities including 24-hour libraries, advanced science laboratories, art and design studios, recording studios, galleries, sports facilities, and one of the few Bloomberg Financial Markets Suites in the UK.
Beyond the classroom, you'll experience London's unparalleled cultural richness and explore the surrounding regions through organized excursions. Day trips take you to iconic destinations like Stonehenge and Salisbury, the picturesque villages of the Cotswolds, and the university city of Cambridge. You'll also enjoy guided walking tours of Black London, Rock Music heritage sites, street art, and Royal London; attend rugby and soccer matches; catch West End theater performances; and take a river boat cruise along the Thames. The program arranges a rich variety of cultural and social activities that introduce you to British life while helping you build connections with other study abroad students.
Housing is provided in AIFS Abroad-arranged student residences in Central London or at the Harrow Campus, offering single occupancy rooms with self-catered kitchens and shared or private bathrooms depending on the residence. Internet access is included in all housing. You'll benefit from comprehensive support services including a dedicated AIFS Abroad Program Director based in London, 24/7 emergency support, comprehensive insurance, access to University of Westminster Wellbeing Services and Disability Learning Support, and professional academic guidance. Additional resources include the renowned Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment for personal development, access to the alumni network, academic support services, and the University's Careers and Employability Service to help you prepare for your future.
The inclusive program fee of $27,990 covers tuition, housing, excursions, cultural activities, health and safety services, and personal/professional development resources. Optional round-trip flight packages are available from 25 U.S. gateways, ranging from $1,480 to $1,760 depending on departure city, with airport transfers included. You'll also receive a FREE Eurail Global Pass (valued near $500) to explore Europe during your time abroad. To be eligible, you must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with a minimum 2.7 GPA. All full-year students are required to obtain a student visa before departure; AIFS will provide visa processing support for those who enroll by the visa deadline. The application deadline is October 1, 2026, for the Spring 2027 session running January 9 – May 8, 2027.
