About Travel For Teens School Trips Program
Travel For Teens (TFT) offers supervised school and private group travel programs for teen participants, designed to provide immersive travel experiences with the safety and structure that families and schools expect. These programs are organized in partnership with schools and group leaders, with TFT handling the logistics of transportation, accommodations, and on-the-ground support so that students and chaperones can focus on the experience itself. Programs span a range of destinations internationally and are available for groups organized through schools or as private trips.
As a participant, you will travel with a supervised group, typically roomed in multi-bedded accommodations, with chaperones available throughout the journey. TFT provides a parent portal called MyTFT where families can access packing lists, travel tips, insurance information, and complete all required medical and legal forms. A primary care physician must certify that each participant is medically fit to take part in the program, ensuring the health and safety of the entire group.
Flight arrangements are a central part of the TFT experience. A group flight is offered for most trips, and TFT coordinates seat assignments and airport support for all participants. Families may also opt for independent flights with advance coordination and applicable fees. TFT staff are present at both departure and arrival airports to support teens, and all intra-trip flights are chaperoned by TFT counselors. Trip insurance is required for all participants, either bundled into the tuition or purchased separately.
Registration requires a $750 USD deposit (fully refundable within 24 hours), followed by monthly installment payments billed on the first Monday of each month, with a final payment due no less than 75 days before departure. Late registrations within 90 days of departure are subject to rush application fees. All participants and custodial parents or guardians must sign a contract via DocuSign once the trip is confirmed. Participants are expected to adhere to TFT's code of conduct throughout the program.
Visa, vaccination, and passport requirements vary by destination and are the responsibility of the participant's family. TFT provides resources and guidance but does not assume liability for entry requirements. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the last day of the trip. These programs are best suited for high school students traveling with their school group or in organized private cohorts, and are not eligible for the promotional discounts available on TFT's public programs.
