Dublin is an ideal city for an international internship experience. As Ireland's capital and largest city, it is a thriving hub for technology, finance, media, healthcare, and the arts, home to the European headquarters of many global companies as well as a rich ecosystem of local startups, NGOs, and cultural institutions. You will find yourself surrounded by centuries of history, a legendary literary tradition, and a famously warm and social culture — all while building real professional skills that will strengthen your résumé and your global perspective.
Academic credit is optional but readily available. Included at no extra cost is AIFS297: International Internship Course (3 credits), which fulfills the academic component of your placement through journaling, reflections, and graded assignments. If you need more credits, you can upgrade to AIFS299 (6 credits, $600) or add AIFS301: Global Leadership and Workforce Development or AIFS302: Intercultural Communications in a Global Workplace (each 3 credits, $600). This program is designed for undergraduate students who want to go beyond the classroom and gain genuine workplace experience in an English-speaking international environment. You will develop industry-specific skills, build a professional network across Ireland and beyond, and grow your intercultural competency in a way that classroom learning alone cannot replicate. AIFS Abroad provides comprehensive support throughout the experience, and the program's structured academic coursework ensures that your internship hours translate into meaningful learning outcomes recognized by your home institution.
