About Barcelona & Paris Program
Experience two of Europe's most iconic cities on this 11-day summer program designed for high school students. You'll start in vibrant Barcelona, where you'll explore the Gothic Quarter, marvel at Gaudí's architectural masterpiece La Sagrada Familia, and relax on Barceloneta beach. A highlight includes a private master chef-style cooking competition where you'll learn to make traditional Spanish tapas, plus a flamenco show and visit to FC Barcelona's Camp Nou stadium. After soaking in Barcelona's unique Catalan culture, you'll head to Paris for an equally unforgettable experience.
In Paris, you'll walk the legendary Champs-Élysées, climb the Eiffel Tower, and explore world-class museums featuring masterpieces by Van Gogh and Picasso. You'll visit the opulent Palace of Versailles and Marie Antoinette's gardens, stroll through charming neighborhoods like Montmartre and the Latin Quarter, and enjoy a sunset cruise down the Seine. The program emphasizes authentic cultural immersion—you'll eat at local establishments rather than chains, sampling croissants, crêpes, fondue, and other French specialties, as well as Spanish tapas and local delicacies.
Throughout the 11 days, you'll stay in centrally located, well-supervised accommodations in both cities. In Barcelona, you'll be based at a recently renovated modern hotel at the intersection of the Gothic Quarter and La Rambla. In Paris, you'll stay in a comfortable 3-star hotel in the 9th arrondissement near the Opera House. Travel For Teens provides experienced chaperones and local guides who offer unique insider access to both destinations, facilitating experiences like private cooking classes that you wouldn't find on typical tourist itineraries.
The program is ideal if you're finishing grades 9 or 10 and want to explore European culture, build independence, and develop confidence as a traveler. You'll discover the similarities and differences between French, Spanish, and Catalan cultures while making lifelong friendships with fellow travelers. The itinerary balances structured activities with built-in free time to explore at your own pace. All breakfasts, dinners, ground transportation, program activities, and admissions are included in the cost, so you can focus on the experience rather than logistics.
