About Europe for Middle School: Greece Island Hopping Adventure Program
Step into a postcard-perfect adventure through Greece on this 11-day summer program designed exclusively for middle school students (grades 7–8). You'll experience the best of what Greece has to offer: the ancient wonders of Athens, the laid-back island charm of Paros, and the iconic whitewashed villages and blue domes of Santorini. This program balances cultural immersion, historical exploration, and pure adventure, allowing you to safely discover the beauty, history, and cuisine that define Greece while traveling with peers from around the world.
Your journey begins in Athens, where you'll climb the Acropolis to stand before the Parthenon, one of the world's most spectacular ancient ruins, and explore the birthplace of Western civilization and democracy. You'll wander through historic neighborhoods, visit the Pnyx where democracy was born, and capture sunset views of the city from elevated vantage points. A private cooking class will teach you how to prepare authentic Greek specialties using fresh, simple ingredients that are the foundation of the Mediterranean diet.
From Athens, you'll travel by ferry across turquoise Mediterranean waters to Paros, a charming island famous in ancient times for its white marble. Here, you'll experience traditional island life firsthand through guided tours, hike the historic Byzantine road for stunning Cycladic landscape views, pass through beautiful whitewashed villages, and spend time on some of Europe's most beautiful beaches. Beach volleyball, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and a private boat tour stopping at hidden beaches ensure plenty of sun and sea time.
Your adventure culminates on Santorini, where you'll explore the winding cobblestone streets of Oia—one of the planet's most photographed locations—and marvel at its iconic whitewashed buildings, blue domes, and antique windmills. A private sunset cruise along the Santorini caldera, a swim in natural hot springs, and time in the village of Fira round out your island experience before returning to Athens for a celebratory final dinner.
Travel For Teens prioritizes authentic cultural immersion and student safety. You'll stay in carefully selected, family-run hotels in safe, centrally located areas within walking distance of main attractions—not impersonal chain hotels on city outskirts. Ground transportation, accommodation, all breakfasts and dinners, program activities, admissions, taxes, and tips are included. Experienced chaperones and local guides lead all activities. The program accommodates dietary restrictions and provides a secure parent website where families can access detailed itinerary and accommodation information post-registration. This is not just a trip; it's a transformative travel experience that leaves students with lasting memories, new friendships across state lines, and a newfound confidence in independent exploration.
