About Europe for Older Teens: Prague, Austria, Slovenia & Croatia Tour Program
Join Travel For Teens on an unforgettable 15-day summer journey through four stunning Central and Eastern European countries. You'll experience the perfect blend of historic cities, outdoor adventure, and cultural immersion as you explore Prague's enchanting cobblestone streets, Vienna's imperial palaces, Slovenia's pristine alpine lakes, and Croatia's dramatic Dalmatian coastline.
Your adventure begins in Prague, the Czech Republic, where you'll climb Prague Castle, visit the iconic Charles Bridge, and sign the famous John Lennon Wall. From there, you'll head to Vienna, Austria, where you'll tour the elegant Schönbrunn Palace, enjoy Vienna's world-famous chocolate cake, watch an authentic Austrian cooking demonstration featuring apple strudel, and shop on the upscale Mariahilferstrasse. This portion of the trip beautifully captures the grandeur and cultural richness of Austria, the country that inspired "The Sound of Music."
Lake Bled in Slovenia becomes your adventure hub as you engage in thrilling activities including whitewater rafting, canyoneering with waterfall jumps and natural rock slides, hiking the cliffside Vintgar Gorge boardwalk, and riding in a traditional pletna boat across the crystalline lake. You'll explore the castle perched on an island, discover enchanting caves, and watch stunning Alpine sunsets. After crossing into Croatia, you'll visit the spectacular Plitvice National Park waterfalls before heading to the coastal towns of Split and Dubrovnik.
In Split, you'll relax on pristine beaches, explore Diocletian's Palace, and take an unforgettable private catamaran day trip island-hopping through the Dalmatian islands of Hvar, Brac, Solta, and the Pakleni Islands with plenty of swimming time. Your final stop is the UNESCO World Heritage walled city of Dubrovnik, where you'll climb the ancient city walls, explore narrow pedestrian streets, visit Europe's second-oldest synagogue, and experience a Game of Thrones tour on nearby Lokrum Island—even sitting on the Iron Throne. You'll wrap up with a photo shoot against a Croatian sunset and a final feast overlooking the coast.
Throughout the program, you'll stay in carefully selected, centrally located accommodations—from well-connected hotels in Prague and Vienna to a modern lakefront hotel in Lake Bled, an award-winning youth hostel in Split, and a charming bed-and-breakfast in Dubrovnik's Old Town. Travel For Teens emphasizes authentic local experiences over touristy chains. You'll eat at local restaurants sampling Czech goulash and beer cheese, hearty Austrian and Slovenian fare, and fresh Croatian seafood. The program includes all ground transportation, accommodations, breakfasts and dinners, professional chaperones and local guides, and program activities and admissions—everything except airfare and lunches.
