About Fashion Marketing Study + Travel Program
Join AIFS Abroad for an immersive 20-day January Term program that combines classroom learning with hands-on exploration of the global fashion industry across four iconic European cities. From January 4–23, 2027, you'll spend 6 nights in London, 5 nights in Paris, 4 nights in Milan, and 4 nights in Florence, earning 3 semester credits while discovering how marketing and communication drive the fashion business.
This program is designed for students at all undergraduate levels (first year through senior) with a minimum 2.5 GPA who want to understand fashion marketing in a real-world context. You'll take the 3-credit Fashion Marketing and Communication course, which examines the evolution of fashion from small dressmakers' workshops to today's global mainstream industry, and explores the role of marketing communication in fashion business success. Classes are held in the mornings, giving you afternoons and free days to explore each city's fashion heritage.
Your experience includes far more than lectures. You'll visit world-class institutions including London's Fashion and Textile Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum, Paris's Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Milan's Fashion Museum and the Museum of Silk at Lake Como, and Florence's Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo museums. You'll also tour Milan's famous fashion neighborhoods on foot and visit fashion businesses and exhibitions in each city. A dedicated AIFS Travel Manager accompanies your group throughout, handling logistics, providing local expertise, and ensuring your safety and support.
The all-inclusive program fee of $6,790 covers tuition, housing in shared rooms in tourist-class hotels or aparthotels, daily breakfast, all field trips and museum visits, sightseeing tours, an AIFS Travel Manager, 24/7 emergency support, comprehensive insurance, and carbon offsetting for your flights. You'll have free time to explore on your own and can opt into AIFS's round-trip flight package from 25 U.S. gateways (ranging from $1,360–$1,560 depending on departure city). Academic credit is awarded by Fairfield University, a fully accredited Jesuit institution with a strong commitment to international education, and is available to both Fairfield and non-Fairfield students.
This program is ideal if you're interested in fashion, marketing, business innovation, or the creative industries and want to see firsthand how these disciplines operate in the world's premier fashion centers. You'll return with not only academic credit and real-world insights into fashion marketing, but also friendships, cultural understanding, and memories of four unforgettable European cities.
