This 12-week internship program places you in a guaranteed professional position in New York City, one of the world's major international hubs with opportunities across business, fashion, marketing, media, finance, law, communications, and more. You'll experience the fast-paced energy of a city that never sleeps while building real career credentials and expanding your professional network in top-tier companies.

The program's placement process is personalized and rigorous. AIFS Abroad's enrollment team reviews your application materials—including work experience, coursework, and professional readiness—and then works with you one-on-one to understand your skills, career goals, and expectations. You'll be matched with a dynamic employer in your preferred field and will interview with your future manager before the placement is confirmed. Once you arrive, on-site Location Coordinators provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure you succeed.

Beyond your internship, you'll participate in AIFS Abroad's award-winning Global Career Readiness Program, which combines the CliftonStrengthsFinder assessment, one-on-one career coaching, interview preparation, and leadership training. This strengths-based approach helps you connect your academic knowledge to professional ambitions and position yourself for future career success. You can also earn optional academic credit (3 credits through Fairfield University) toward your degree, which many students need for graduation.

Your housing is centrally located in a modern student residence just one minute's walk from public transportation, shops, restaurants, and nightlife. You'll share a room (twin or bunk beds) with an ensuite bathroom, and enjoy access to a full kitchen, student lounge with smart TVs, study areas, 24/7 front desk service, and security. The residence puts you in the heart of the action, making it easy to explore the city.
