If you're new to Spanish or have minimal language background, the Contemporary Hispanic Studies program teaches courses in English while offering beginner Spanish instruction to build your conversational skills. For students with advanced Spanish (at least three semesters of college-level study), the Hispanic Studies Plus program deepens your language skills with advanced and superior-level courses taught in Spanish, covering topics like art, film, economics, literature, anthropology, politics, and more. Both programs allow you to take up to 15 semester credits across five courses, each worth a recommended 3 U.S. credits.

Your housing experience brings authentic cultural immersion. Choose between living with a Spanish host family—where you'll receive three meals daily and benefit from daily language practice—or reside in a modern student apartment within a university residence featuring gym facilities, a swimming pool, restaurant, and 24/7 security.
