About Summer French Immersion Program (15 Days) Program
Experience an immersive French language program in Paris, the city where Travel For Teens began. Over 15 days, you'll spend your mornings in structured French classes at the ELFE Language School of Paris and your afternoons and evenings exploring the City of Light while practicing your newfound skills in real-world situations. You'll attend a total of 30 hours of French language instruction tailored to your proficiency level—whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced speaker, you'll be placed in the appropriate class after an initial assessment. Between classes, you'll chitchat with shopkeepers, order food at restaurants, and participate in fun practice activities like scavenger hunts to reinforce what you've learned.
Your Paris experience goes far beyond the classroom. You'll stay in a modern, centrally located hotel in the heart of the 9th Arrondissement, one of Paris's most culturally rich districts, placing you minutes from the city's most sought-after attractions. From there, you'll explore iconic sites including the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre (the world's most visited museum), the Arc de Triomphe, and the Champs-Élysées. You'll cruise the Seine at sunset, stroll through the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, and discover Paris's hidden gems with local guides on a bike tour, including the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle and the artistic hilltop neighborhood of Montmartre where Van Gogh and Picasso once walked.
Culinary immersion is central to the program. You'll enjoy authentic French cuisine at local, family-run establishments rather than international chains—think croissants, French bread, fondue in the Latin Quarter, escargot at a classic bistro, and crêpes along the Seine. The program fully accommodates dietary restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free needs. You'll also visit picturesque marketplaces and explore the Promenade Plantée, a repurposed above-ground train line.
As an optional excursion, you can take a day trip to London via the "Chunnel" train, adding another dimension to your European experience. The program is led by experienced bilingual staff who accompany the group at all times, ensuring your safety while you're fully immersed in French culture and language. This program is perfect for any high school student with an interest in learning another language, whether you've been studying French for years or are looking to try something new for the first time.
Your tuition covers ground transportation, accommodation, chaperones and guides, all program-related activities and admissions, taxes, tips, and all breakfasts and dinners. The program runs from June 25 to July 9, and Travel For Teens also offers a 21-day extended version if you want to explore Nice and southern France to deepen your fluency even further.
