About Ultimate Travel Photography Workshop: Italy and France Program
Join Travel For Teens on an immersive 17-day photography adventure across two of Europe's most iconic destinations. This program combines intensive photography instruction with cultural exploration, taking you from the romantic streets of Paris to the stunning Italian Riviera and beyond. Whether you're a beginner with a point-and-shoot camera or an experienced DSLR shooter, this program is designed for all skill levels, with instruction divided into beginner and intermediate/advanced groups to ensure personalized attention.
Your journey begins in Paris, where you'll spend six days capturing the City of Light through your lens. Work with expert instructors to master urban scenes, portraiture, and landscape photography while exploring iconic sites like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Versailles, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. You'll take off-the-beaten-path bike tours through historic neighborhoods, explore the creepy depths of the Catacombs, hunt for treasures at flea markets, and enjoy authentic French cuisine including croissants, fondue, and crêpes. A special day trip to Giverny lets you walk through Claude Monet's famous gardens and capture the inspiration behind his masterpieces.
From Paris, you'll fly to Italy for an 11-day exploration of some of the country's most photogenic regions. Your Italian adventure starts in the Cinque Terre, a hidden gem on the Italian Riviera featuring five pastel-colored fishing villages perched dramatically on Mediterranean cliffs. You'll stay in Monterosso, steps from the beach, where the program has established relationships with locals who will treat you like family. Morning photography lessons prepare you to capture the spectacular hiking trails, vineyards, and coastal vistas, while you'll also sample local specialties like pesto and focaccia.
Next, you'll venture to Florence and Tuscany, the heart of the Italian Renaissance. Stop in Pisa for the iconic Leaning Tower photo, then immerse yourself in Florence's artistic heritage at the Uffizi Gallery and Accademia. You'll compose professional-quality portraits and street scenes against the backdrop of stunning Renaissance architecture, enjoy a sunset stroll over the Ponte Vecchio, and take a day trip to the charming Tuscan village of Montalcino, where you can meet a local family and take a cooking class at their winery. The program concludes in Venice, where you'll explore the magical floating city's narrow alleyways, St. Mark's Square, and the colorful islands of Murano and Burano, focusing on capturing light, reflections, and the enchanting Venetian atmosphere.
Throughout the program, you'll receive daily feedback from expert photographers, participate in fun photo challenges tied to cultural activities, and develop a portfolio of stunning images. The program includes all meals (breakfast and dinner), accommodations in centrally located, family-run hotels, ground transportation, chaperones, guides, and program-related activities and admissions. This is an ideal opportunity for photography students to advance their technical skills—learning proper ISO, shutter speed, and aperture adjustments—while creating unforgettable memories and lasting friendships in Europe's most beautiful destinations.
